Since launch, the most valuable currency in the world continues to live up to its promise. Created to ensure those living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) are not just counted, but valued properly, the impact The Cancer Currency has had so far is exactly what was hoped.
But this is only the beginning.
Alongside the surviving women featured on our bank notes and relatives of Simona, Stella Kyriakides – The European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety – was presented with a full set of The Cancer Currency in person, and for the first time, proclaimed that metastatic disease will be included in Europe’s ‘Beating Cancer Plan’ along with specific allocation of funding. The first step of many to ensure all those living with MBC are not just counted, but valued properly.
